about
Luis Pardellans is a renowned pianist and composer whose music blends jazz, Latin, and Afro-Caribbean influences with masterful improvisation and rich harmonies.
Early Musical Training and Beginnings
Born in Barcelona, Luis Pardellans began his musical training at the age of five and studied at the Superior Conservatory of Music. Although he initially considered studying medicine, his passion for the piano led him to dedicate himself entirely to music. At the age of sixteen, he was already performing in nightclubs, and at eighteen, he formed his own group.

Exploration of Jazz and Latin Music
His musical curiosity took him to the United States, where he worked as a pianist on a cruise ship and entered the jazz scene, accompanying artists such as Johnny Desmond. In addition, he dedicated himself to the study of modern harmony, composition, and arrangements for groups and orchestras. Later, he explored Latin music in the Caribbean and Puerto Rico, an influence that left a deep mark on his musical style.
Return to Barcelona and Professional Career
Back in Barcelona, he combined his career as a teacher at the Conservatory, the Taller de Músics, and the Aula de Música with his work as a session musician in record recordings and as an arranger for artists. He accompanied renowned artists such as Shirley Bassey and Dionne Warwick and was part of various orchestras.

The Luis Pardellans Trio and Jazz Festivals
In the 90s, he founded the Luis Pardellans Trio, with Ze Eduardo and Marc Miralta, with which he consolidated his musical identity and participated in jazz festivals in Spain. Over time, the trio also included the participation of musicians such as Mario Rossy, Aldo Caviglia, Jordi Gaspar, and Enrique Heredia.
His music combines jazz, improvisation, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms, creating his own distinctive style.
